These Covid 19 shutdowns are causing many people to investigate the far reaches of their cupboards, sheds and storerooms and we have certainly done that.  The staff at our Queenstown mill have pulled out these monster Huon pine turning blanks from the quiet, dark place where they have been drying. There is still a bit more seasoning to go, but they are all waxed, and safe for transport and/or rough turning. Think of the spectacular creations you can make from them

Blank #1 – Solid and Dependable

This beauty is 575mm in diameter and 130mm thick, and costs $530. We can freight it to any Australian mainland capital for between $200 and $350.

 

 

 

Blank #2 – Chip off the old block

The chip adds to the attraction, according to many artists. It  is 500mm in diameter and 130mm thick, and costs $400. We can freight it to you anywhere on the Australian mainland for between $70 and $100.

This blank is wonderfully solid, and will reveal some subtle figuring under the chisel. It is 500mm diameter and $130 thick, and costs $500. We can freight it to you anywhere on the Australian mainland for between $70 and $100.

The biggest and the prettiest of this offering, this monster Huon pine blank has lots of birdseye figuring and is 600mm diameter and 130mm thick, priced at $860. . We can freight it to any Australian mainland capital for between $200 and $350.
