Cliff Bradshaw and his employees constructed a road to get trucks and bulldozers to the top of the Raglan Range to retrieve the fire-killed King Billy pine logs. Its steepness was legendary, and generated memorable tales of truck bonnets pointing to the sky, or being reversed up the hill to get better traction.
